Water is one of the most vital resources found on Arrakis and necessary for player survival. Without water, players will die due to the harsh climate upon the surface of Arrakis. There are several ways that players in Dune: Awakening interact with water, such as harvesting it with Windtraps, or ensuring you wear a Stillsuit to retain as much water as possible whilst traversing the harsh desert of Arrakis.

A players water indicator can be seen in the UI to the bottom left alongside the other mechanics such as health and stamina.

Mechanics[edit | edit source]

Players must stay hydrated at all times when on Arrakis due to its harsh and unforgiving climate. Players will experience sunstroke if they stay in the desert for too long without adequate hydration.

Players may collect water in several different ways, some which more be more efficient than the others. Water may be collected from Windtraps, Dew Fields, fibrous plants with water, and blood harvesting.
