Scouting

Scouting is a mentat ability that players may choose in Dune: Awakening. It allows players to 'scout', or search, an unfamiliar area for enemy combatants that could be hiding in plain sight. The ability works by highlighting enemies within direct sight in white, so that your team may see their location if they are hidden.

Scouting only works for players that are in your direct sight, however. Notwithstanding this, the ability can be paired with tools that scan for signs of life first to increase its efficacy.
